Dr Arnold is an independent consultant specialising in Spatial Data Infrastructures.  Her career has progressed through a variety of roles from Cartographer to Principal Consultant and Director within leading SDI and geospatial organisations in Australia.

Lesley has many years’ experience of Strategies and Action Plans for Strengthening Geospatial Information in Australia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Singapore, Fiji, Nepal, Tonga, Mongolia, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia.

Throughout her time at Landgate, Western Australia, (1984 to 2005) Lesley studied for her BSc in Cartography (First Class Honours), and latterly, a PhD in Spatial Science; her thesis beings:  Dynamic Spatial Updating – A Centralised Scale-independent Approach to Spatial Data Management and Thematic Map Revision.
